Alan M. Atlas, DMD
Dr. Alan M. Atlas received his D.M.D degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine
and currently serves there as Clinical Professor, Co-Director of Comprehensive Care Clinics, Director of
Implant Dentistry and a Primary Care Unit Group Leader in the Department of Preventive and Restorative
In addition, he is actively involved in the development and integration of clinical research studies
for implants, CAD-CAM ceramics and dental materials at Penn. He holds membership in the Academy of
Osseointegration, Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and the International Association
for Dental Research. He is a past recipient of the Penn Dental Medicine Alumni Award of Merit and is
selected annually by his peers as a “Top Dentist” in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
Dr. Atlas is an internationally recognized lecturer whose unique academic and private practice perspective is focused on applying scientific based protocols to general and advanced clinical dentistry. His presentations span worldwide including China, Africa, Australia, Saudi Arabia and Europe. Dr. Atlas serves on the editorial board of several journals and is Clinical Associate Editor of Quintessence International Dental Journal. He publishes on various topics in dentistry including research on esthetic and implant restorations and clinical protocols in adhesion and restorative dentistry. Dr. Atlas maintains a private practice dedicated to Esthetic and Comprehensive Restorative Dentistry located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
